Deke Sharon

Deke Sharon is one of the pioneers of the contemporary a cappella movement (which is also known as modern a cappella).

In college, he directed the collegiate a cappella group The Tufts Beelzebubs, transforming the group's sound to reflect college rock, complete with vocal percussion.

In his dorm room, he founded The Contemporary A Cappella Society, The Ultimate A Cappella Arranging Service (which became TotalVocal), and The House Jacks.

In addition, he co-founded The Best of College A Cappella (BOCA), the International Championship of College A Cappella (ICCA), the A Cappella Summit, and a number of other a cappella-related projects, programs and events. He also founded and directs Disneyworld/Epcot's American Vybe and Disneyland's Groove 66, who perform outside the park as Vybration.

Deke is a member of the House Jacks.
